Edward Stanley, 19th Earl of Derby is a member of the peerage of the UK. He has several close ties with the British royal family in part due to his noble status. His family still holds thousands of acres of land. The noble surname Stanley means ‘stone meadow’, or ‘stone-filled meadow’.

The title Earl Fortescue was created by King George III in 1789 for Hugh Fortescue and has been passed down to Charles Fortescue, 8th Earl of Fortescue. The noble last name Fortescue is far older than its noble rank and is from an Old Norman French word that means ‘strong shield’.

Henry Somerset, 12th Duke of Beaufort is a member of the Peerage of England. His family is descended from the House of Plantagenet, a once royal house of England. The family name Somerset is Old English and refers to a county in Southwest England.
